SSC exams end before WC quarterfinals

Beginning on February 1 next year, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will end before the quarterfinals of the Cricket World Cup 2011.
The World Cup will start on February 19, 2011 while its quarterfinals on March 23.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid disclosed it at a press briefing at the education ministry on Tuesday.
When Bangladesh is playing the World Cup, no examination will be held on the day and the following day, the minister said.
Nahid said the exams routine has been fixed considering the World Cup fixture so that no candidate would be deprived of enjoying the matches of the country, Prothom Alo reports.
Bangladesh is one of the organisers of the
Cricket World Cup 2011 scheduled for starting on February 19 next year.
